MAMA is a registered not for profit charitable institution established in June 2009. It is non religious and a-political. MAMA has been granted a charitable collections licence within the ACT enabling us to conduct fundraising activities. MAMA is run on a purely voluntary basis by a committee of interested persons. MAMA seeks to conduct fundraising activities on a local community level through family, friends and colleagues.  MAMA is income tax, GST and FBT exempt. With effect from 1 July 2013, MAMA is registered as a Deductable Gift Recipient (DGR) by the ATO.

Friends and donors are kept appraised on the progress of various projects and activities via regular newsletters and other communications distributed to those registered on the Friends of MAMA mailing list.
