We’re excited, and with good reason!
As of 1 July 2013, MAMA has been approved by the Australian Taxation Office as a deductible gift recipient.
What is DGR?
A DGR is an organisation that is entitled to receive income tax deductible gifts and deductible contributions, under the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
You can now claim deductions for gifts or donations made to MAMA. This applies to individuals, companies, trusts or other types of taxpayers wishing to make their mark by donating to MAMA.
To be tax deductible, your gift must:
- be donated to a DGR (such as MAMA)
- really be a gift
- be a gift of money
- comply with any relevant gift conditions.
You can donate to MAMA (as a DGR) through your employer – for example, through workplace giving programs or salary sacrifice arrangements.
Now it’s even easier to make your mark!
