MAMA announces Pacific Patron – the Queen of Tonga

MAMA is thrilled to announce that the Queen of Tonga, Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u has accepted an invitation to become a Pacific Patron of Make A Mark Australia.

In line with MAMA’s strategic direction, we recently committed to focus on projects in Australia’s immediate geographic area to maximise our outcomes and help improve literacy levels for children in our region.

The example set by Queen Nanasipau’u in her work around the Pacific reminds us all that we each hold the power to make a difference. In particular, Her Majesty’s personal interest in assisting children with disabilities closely aligns with MAMA’s strategic agenda.

MAMA focuses on providing impoverished children in underdeveloped communities access to reliable schooling and education. We believe in not only educating the individual, but importantly, also assisting the community in fostering a supportive environment for all children to grow, develop and excel.

The Queen’s personal support as a Pacific Patron will help MAMA empower the lives of countless children through projects with partners such as the Ofa Tui’Amanaki school in Nuku’alofa.
